Special Projects (15th March 2010)
- SA is assisting a Sea Vista resident who wants to start a Football Club and is attempting to get sponsorship from Companies.
- A local qualified Lifesaver is training 15 guys and SA is assisting with his attempts to register a Lifesavers Club.
- BR said he has some funding for the Lifesavers Club, provided it is registered.
- Kokeviet Creche in Oyster Bank is looking for funding for food and travel expenses for their children. SA is involved with the collection of this funding.
- JO mentioned that a Football League should be considered.
SOCIAL SERVICES (15th March 2010)
- AK expressed her thanks to SPAR for their donation of 400 Hot Dogs for World Aids Day held in Sea Vista in November 2009.
- AK attended Hospital Board Meeting but unfortunately there was no quorum. AK was given a tour of the hospital and found it to be pristine and well run. The Private/Public partnership in the hospital is working well.
- The Hospital serves a large area from Gamtoos in the east to Misgund in the west. AK to attend the Sea Vista Clinic meeting during March.
- BR informed that there was a meeting with the Public Protector to discuss the school in Sea Vista, however he was not invited.
