art-0287art-0287Hi Folks,

There are many of you that have not yet received answers to your objections or reasons from the Municipality.  I am in constant touch with the Valuations Dept and am told that they are working frantically to finalise all of this. Click here for list people awaiting feedback from KM.

FEKRRA are slowly progressing with the Municipality.  A meeting was held where the KM agreed to a workshop with an independent Mediator.  As a build up to this, KM also agreed to Fact Finding Teams from FEKRRA to sit with the Departmental Heads  at the Municipality and go through their systems in an attempt to find the problem areas. The first such session has already been held.

I again remind you of our AGM on 17th December at the SFB Links at 5pm. Click here for Agenda.

I also remind you of our Protect the Beach Drive on 18th December.  All those participating, to meet at Main Beach at 9am where you will be dispatched to different section of the Beach with a team leader.  Those with Boats, to meet at the end of Shore Road. Remember to bring a spade, saw and lots of sun block. To co-ordinate with low tide, we will only have from 9am – 12 noon to complete this exercise.

The staircase at Main Beach has been repaired and we have been promised by the Municipality that they will take care of the area around the showers.  We have also been assured that the access at Hoby Beach will be taken care of, and this is anticipated to be done by month end.

I am sure many of you recall the fire we had last December in the Canals where the Hayters House burnt down.  In view of this and on behalf of KM we ask that anyone owning a vacant stand, please be sure to clear it of all bush.  Should you not do this, the Municipality will clear it on your behalf and send you the bill.  Click here to find the Business Card which will give you a list of Garden Services that do Bush Clearing.  You will also find all the handy numbers that you need to make pre holiday bookings. Our thanks go to The Property Shop for sharing their Business Card information with us.

Water restrictions have just been announced and we urge you all to avoid wasting water.
