Hi Folks, Due to urgent information that has come to hand, I have decided on an early follow up. Please diarise the following very, very important dates: Residents Association Public Feedback Meeting 8th April, Village Hall, 5pm Nuclear Public Meeting on Thyspunt 15th April St. Francis Links 6pm NB!! Stake Holders Meeting on Thyspunt 16th April Cape St. Francis Resort 9am (This meeting is for interested parties and organisations. Please notify me of your intention to attend, as I need to give them numbers) There are many worrying factors regarding the Nuclear Power Plant at Thyspunt, for which we need answers and we urge you to participate in this process. Click here for more detail supplied by the SFB Nuclear Working Group and others. Click here for the Draft EIA Report. Valuations The Kouga Municipality have advertised for a Professional Valuer to sit on the Appeal Board. I think it would be very prudent for us to have a Valuer who is familiar with our area on the Appeal Board and I urge anyone who is a qualified valuer to apply or if someone knows of one, to be in touch with us. Click here to read Advert placed by KM. From the latest information that I have received, it would appear that the Appeals will only be heard towards the end of April or during May. They are still busy in Port Alfred and have not nearly finished there. Beach Finally after much pressure from Joe and Neil, the Municipality has assured us that payment has been made to the Danes for the second phase of the Beach PEM System. The Danes should have confirmation within a day or two and can then start with the installation of the additional pipes. These pipes will be installed 50 metres apart and should give our Beach an additional boost. Negotiations with Municipality FEKRRA met with the Municipality for their first of monthly meetings to discuss Regards, Paddy |
